Video out put from RCA with HDMI hooked up

Is there a way to make both the HDMI and Video from the HDMI cable work at the same time, I hooked up both of them and

the only thing that will work from RCA cable is Audio. Is there a way to make Video work with HDMI hooked up.

Audio Setup.

I've had my Xbox setup so it goes through component video and the standard RCA plugs for audio hooked up directly to the tv. Just recently I hooked up the RCA audio jacks to the AUX import on my stereo system. It was a big improvement from the speakers
on a 3 inch thick tv, but only my Xbox is hooked up to the stereo. But I'm thinking about upgrading to HDMI because the highest resolution my tv supports over component is 1080i. However, this eliminates the RCA jacks for audio. The tv has a TOSLINK jack for
audio out. I was was wondering if there's any cheap way to convert the TOSLINK out signal to analog RCA. It would also put everything going through the tv on the stereo, which would be nice.

 

How to get audio out of built-in speakers in DVI PC monitor for Xbox

In my office I have a second Xbox hooked up with HDMI > DVI with the RCA adapter also plugged into the Xbox. This allows the video to go to the monitor as well as the sound to be duplicated to the analog.. I then have it hooked up to a RCA to 3.5mm adapter
for computer speakers. Just have to use your head!

 

Not without external hardware, and even then it might not be feasible. If you want to record gameplay, an HDMI capture card for PC is probably best.

The TV encoder in the Xbox 360 can not output both composite and HDMI at the same time because it can only handle one output resolution at a time. Simultaneous HDMI and composite output would have forced it to output 480i over HDMI as well. Analog component
was also left out as a consequence, in spite of having common resolutions. So, they simply turn off the analog video DACs when HDMI is detected.
