Video data error?

    Video data error?


    So this is a rather bizarre thing that happened to me today.

    I was playing the game "Control" (the one made by Remedy, same developer who made Alan Wake) and an error message of sort popped up. Something about running out of video data. (can't remember what it said exactly)

    And the only option to choose was named: "break."

    This happened twice today, and while playing the game mentioned above.

    What does it mean? Is it a problem with the one game mentioned? Will it effect my other games? Or is it my console that needs fixing?

    Since it said something about video data, I deleted all my clips/screenshots uploaded to xbox live (was planning to delete them for a while now, never got around to it) I also power cycled my console. For now I'm going to play a different game, and see if
    anything happens. I'll update this if it does, and if so I'll write down exactly what the error message said

    Hisense 4K issues

    On the Xbox One S games have to be upscaled to 4K. UHD BluRays and 4K digital video streaming will be output in native 4K on the Xbox One S.

    Check with the HiSense support, why your TV would not detect a 4K signal from the console. Also make sure that your HDMI cable that you use is able to sustain the higher data rate of 4K video. If you have an older HDMI cable that is not HDMI2.2 compliant,
    the cable might induce errors in the data stream, and the TV can't make any sense of the erroneous data coming through the cable.

    it sounds to me like an intermittent internet connection confusing the video players as with no new data coming in think the video is done.

    Anyone know if cloud computing takes extra bandwidth?

    It depends on what is being transmitted. For just data, not a whole lot. For video streaming, it can add up (depending on the resolution of the video).
