Video Cuts in and out only when I'm passed through audio receiver

Hi I'm having an issue where when my Xbox series X is playing through my audio receiver everything is fine when I turn off the audio receiver it should be able to pass through the video and sound without having the stereo speakers this is how I had it set up with my Xbox One X and I now just upgraded to the series X and whenever the audio receivers off the picture will keep flickering in and out kind of like the TV is trying to change inputs or resolutions.

I have a 4K Vizio TV that is not capable of high refresh rates and 60 my audio receiver is an Onkyo capable of 4K pass through I'm not sure if the receiver can only do 60 FPS or not but either way the console is set up to not try to send High refresh rate.

Thank you for any ideas on how to get this to work with the auto receiver off and pass through would be great thank you

    :)

Turtle Beach X12 No Audio on TV

Here is another post that I wrote up earlier but didn't post:

Ok, I'm a little confused. Just to be sure, what is not working when:

    1. Does the game audio work when the Xbox is directly connected to the TV?

    2. Does the game audio work when the Xbox is only connected to the Headset?

    3. Does the game audio work through the headset when the Xbox is connected to both the TV and Headset?

    4. Does the game audio work through the TV when the Xbox is connected to both the TV and headset?

Note, the headset contains two different audio channels, when connected to the controller, you are receieving the Chat channel, when connected to the Xbox you are receiving the Game audio (the same that would go through the TV). The settings on the Xbox are
for Chat audio only. That should be set to headset only for when using the headset, this will cause game audio to play through both the TV and Headset while Chat audio through the headset only, if set to both game audio remains the same but Chat audio will
play through both, and of course of set to speakers then game audio will still play through both but chat audio will play only through the TV. Ideally, this should be set to headset only especially when using the X12.

As for the issues with sound, if it is your TV not producing the sound, check the settings on the TV. Make sure the connections are appropriate. You said you are using Composite, that means the standard Yellow video cable should be connected and the Red and
White audio cables need to be connected to the corresponding audio for that Video cable. Some TVs, such as my family's still strong Tube TV have 3 auxiliary sources all of which use the Composite Yellow Video cable. Make sure, if you have multiple inputs for
video, that the audio cables are connected to the correct coresponding source. For example, your TV may have Video 1 and Video 2 but if the video is connected to Video 1 and the audio to Video 2, then you will receive only Video when on Video 1 and only Audio
    when on Video 2.

I'm sorry if any of this is redundant or obvious for you but the first part of this message (the 4 questions above) will better help me in assisting you further. Otherwise I'm slightly confused as to what your second post is saying. As a note, when I say game
audio, test out a game to be sure. Check to make sure volume is on on devices as well.

HDMI Splitter with cable box and surround sound receiver

    From Support:

Basic setup with an audio/video receiver

With an audio/video (A/V) receiver, the best and most direct option is to connect the devices sequentially:

1.Connect your set-top box HDMI output to the Xbox One HDMI input.

2.Connect the Xbox One HDMI output to your A/V HDMI input.

3.Connect your A/V HDMI output to the HDMI input on your television.

    Notes

•This option requires that all devices support audio over HDMI.

•Surround sound from your set-top box will not be passed through the Xbox One.

•When you perform this kind of basic setup with an A/V receiver, you’re passing both audio and video through another device. Depending on your equipment, there is a small risk of audio or video lag.

Turn off avr for headset to work?

Basically, when you use an AV receiver, it extracts the audio and doesn't pass it through. so no sound will go from the receiver to the TV, only video. If your AV receiver has a headphone jack you can plug your headset into that to get sound through it.

Though, if I may ask, Why do you need sound from both at the same time?

Cable TV stops working after a few seconds when passing though xbox and then A/V receiver.

    Notice the last two bullets:

    XBox One w/ Receiver Setup

    My set up will be:

Cable Box HDMI out to Xbox One HDMI IN, Xbox One HDMI out to Receiver HDMI In, Receiver HDMI out to TV HDMI in, Receiver Audio out to Speakers

So the Cable audio/video goes to the Xbox One, Xbox One send that and/or it's audio/video to the Receiver, Receiver sends video to TV and audio to Speakers

It seems like that's what you're describing, so I'm not sure why you think audio is being left out anywhere.
