Video and Audio Delay HELP!

Hi all. Just connected my sky + hd box to my xbox but the lip sync is totally out though the tv speakers and even through sound bar. I changed the audio delay for optical to my sound bar on the sound bar itself and the sky box but still not right. Looking
at it, the video seems to be faster than the audio so delaying the audio just makes it worse. Any ideas? My sky box is amstrad drx780uk and sound bar is lg nb3520a if thats any help. If the sky box is plugged directly in to HDMI on tv its perfectly fine. Just
doesnt seem to like the xbox. Thanks.

HDTV Suggestions?

I had slight audio and video lag on my LG 4k tv but some tvs like mine come with options to delay audio and video now I have no lag at all took a little playing about in the end audio was 0.67ms out and video was 0.78ms out

 

Need Help With PVR Live Commentary

I have an HD PVR, the recording software has a delay...unless you're trying to make it so the audio is in the video file, not a video file then audio file.

 

I have the same issue, delay seems to change randomly and nothing stop it even a full reboot doesn't help.

 

I am sorry to hear about the issue. To get a better idea of what is at play here, the following information is very useful.

Layout (example: STB HDMI Xbox One HDMI TV) (please note splitters and hubs).

- When going simple STB HDMI Xbox One HDMI TV is the audio in sync?

BodyBag UK, you have the same Sky box and Sound bar?

 

Sky HD box to Xbox One input, xbox output to tv. no splitters. I have no external sound system so delay is on hdmi audio. Sky HD direct to TV has no audio/video sync issues, audio delay is only present with Xbox one in the circuit.

 

Does the Sky box have an option within settings to allow Surround Sound? If so, try off (or on... really the opposite to the setting it is currently set to...) Otherwise, I cannot recommend enough good quality HDMI cables rated at 1.4a(+) or 2.0. Or try
a different port on the TV. Try Game Mode on the TV to make sure the video is syncing correctly.

Only sound options on sky boxes relate to optical output so do not effect hdmi sound channel. Are you saying the console is processing the sound rather than passing through unprocessed to the tv? Have tried all inputs with and without console in circuit
and as before without console no audio delay and with console delay. Hdmi cables are high quality, 1 being the supplied xbox one cable. I will add that after a hard reboot of the console the sound is in sync for a short while but drifts off over a short time.

 

The Xbox does do sound processing console side (via both S/PDIF and HDMI)

- I was going to suggest try S/PDIF to the Xbox and sky box. As it is a variable... it may be worth looking into.

I'm having lip sync issues as well. I just switched to Xfinity from DirecTV. There were no issues with my DTV box, but my Xfinity box has serious sync issues. The same Xfinity box on one of my other TV's has the same routing with the exception of the
XB1 and no issues. I see no sync issues with Netflix, Amazon Instant, and gaming.

My audio settings are stereo. I tried Dolby 5.1 bitstream and it was much worse.

My routing is: Xfinity PR150BNM (Stereo) > HDMI > XB1 > HDMI > Vizio e601i-a3 > HDMI ARC > Vizio VHT215

 

I also have issues running a Sky HD box through the Xbox One. 5.1 to Xbox via HDMI and then on to telly for picture. The surround is fed from Xbox to surround sound via optical out.

It varies from channel to channel, but its getting frustrating now!

 

Same issue with my cable through xbox one. I've tried literally every combination of resolutions including a factory reset... the problem is seemingly random just have others have said.

 

i have had the same jumps like a dvd thats scratched tried everything even restore not happy. its ever since the updatte please help

 

Not sure if this is the same problem but also getting a noticeable crackle through all channels. Very slight lip sync issue but looks like my xb1 updated earlier today and it's getting annoying now. Are these updates tested for uk users?

 

Just had to say.... I've had to disconnect the hdmi from the xbox as the sound was just too much. Plug the sky box into the TV and problems sorted. My setup is sky hd box --- hdmi to xbox ----hdmi to tv. Sound is an lg sound bar on an optical cable direct
from the tv.
