    Vibration on/off needed

They really need to add the ability to turn the controller vibration off in the settings. Some games do not have a way to turn it off and not everyone likes it. Why did MS take this option out? Put it back.

  3. Vibration On or Off?

Off. Pointless gimmicky feature in my opinion. I hate it. I hate it and it slightly ruins my BR. Plus, having it on drains battery's faster.

Hello "NPYYZ" Vibration on/off needed :)

    .........

Microsoft doesn't care about putting this option back because if they really cared about it so much, it would have been implemented via a patch / update before the Xbox One hit the one year mark.

    .......

The Xbox One is 2 years old already and it still hasn't been added yet.

    .......

I love this option (Vibration Off) on the Xbox 360 Vibration on/off needed :)

I agree the option to turn on/off vibration is needed, and even better if you could adjust the amount of vibration (not infinitely, but hi/low/off would be great). I was playing Forza 6 last night, and the amount of vibration is just crazy, to the extent
that I was deliberately not accelerating quickly so that the vibration wouldn't set off.

It must be a really simple thing to do, because when the batteries get low the controller turns off vibration anyway to conserve battery life. I might have to resort to saving old batteries to use just on games with excessive vibration!

I tend to turn it off as often as possible and games that dont allow it drive me nuts at times. If we could turn it off in the OS that would be far better.

The freaking vibration is so intense in Elite: Dangerous. I ran through a fresh pair of good batteries in two days due to it. Glad there was a setting to turn off the rumble in the game.

It's so strange that such a simple feature as optional controller vibration is absent on the Xbox One. It's one of many quirky little features that didn't carry over from the 360. Maybe the omission was to give developers the ability to tailor our experiences
    or something. {=|

I don't get why they had to ignore this feature to begin with. It's there on 360. It should be just as doable on One. Why is the option still not there? Instead we have to hope for the devs to add the option seperately for the games we play and unfortunately
not all of them seem to have added it. Controller vibration is the most useless thing ever right after Kinect if you ask me. Also, it just uses the batteries faster. Just not worth it...

I remember gaming before rumble features, the n64 was the first console to use it with add on rumble packs!! And I loved it ever since the first time I expierienced it. Even back then you had the option of rumble or not. I agree it should be a feature of
the controller now days. I would hardly ever turn off though.

Hello "Argontheos" Vibration on/off needed :)

    ..........

Unfortunately, that isn't the case because even if the developer did intend to use the " vibration feature " as some kind of indicator of sorts, there are countless ways to compensate for having it off such as...

    (1) Having a hovering icon / symbol over the object(s)

    (2) Have the object(s) glow / shine

    (3) Have the object(s) make the character(s) comment when they come upon it

    (4) Have the object(s) be noticeable by having some type of " special vision " mode or something

    (5) Have the object(s) be visually identified in a quest log or something so that the player will be looking for it

    etc...

Maybe they can add an Off switch for the vibrations on the controller if it is so difficult to implement an OS based solution?

Ive advocated this for months now and still nothing. I guess what we want isnt a priority anymore. Kinda regret buying a ONe to be perfectly honest.

Hello everyone Vibration on/off needed :)

    .........

It is up to the game developers to add the ability to turn off the vibrations in the game's options, so unfortunately if someone likes a particular game that doesn't allow it; they have to either not buy it or endure the vibrations Vibration on/off needed :(
