Just thought I'd do a bit of advertising of my league in advance for our first season on the Xbox One. So really just a thread to explain things about the league. This is mostly for new people as well as returning members.

The aim of VFL:

The aim is quite simple, to produce a competitive and organised environment for you to play clubs in. On top of that, we want as many members of possible to sign up to the forums to meet other members of the community and therefore, meet new potential friends ! Ask around returning members, people who came in alone, say, Season 4, ended up playing with some of the same people all the way up to our finish on Xbox 360 in Season 6. Meet friends, play hard and enjoy yourself, that's the aim for us, and the goal for you guys to achieve !

The Schedule:

We have a "1-2-2" schedule here. By 1-2-2, I mean that clubs will play 1 game on Friday night, 2 games on Saturday night and 2 games on Sunday night. We also do domestic cup action half way through the season, which takes place on Wednesdays ! The times for games are as follows:

Wednesday - 20:00
Friday - 20:00 - Early during the night in case some older members have plans to go out.
Saturday - 20:00 and 21:00
Sunday - 20:00 and 21:00

Features that could interest you....

We here at the VFL aim to keep you, the member entertained. Every week, the admins will produce a VFL Team of the Week which will be able to be viewed on the forums (Every Monday night). Getting in the TOTW is a great accomplishment (Even the bench!), as it signifies that you were 1 of the best 18 players in the league that week. On top of this, we also host annual VFL Ballon d'Or awards for the crème de la crème of each position. The winners will receive custom made signatures that they will be able to show off to the rest of the VFL community!

Moving away from forum based awards, we also have prizes that will make you want to achieve league glory ! Here is the prize structure:

Winning the league title - 10,000 coins on Ultimate Team to each team member with over 6 games played. Also, the team will have an internal vote to pick a "Man of the Season" for their team. This lucky team-mate will receive 4200 Microsoft Points !

Winning the FA Cup/Domestic Cup - 5,000 coins on Ultimate Team to each participant in the cup. Also, the team will have an internal vote to pick a "Man of the Cup" for their team. This lucky team-mate will receive 2100 Microsoft Points !

Also, fight for your chance to feature in the VFL TOTW each and every week with top draw performances against your fellow members ! Do you have what it takes to be in that 18 man squad every week ?

Fun League

Hey Folks

I'm looking to get a fun free league going with people who are competitive but not overly agressive. I personally hate people who disconnect from ranked games if i'm winning so decided to get a few people together to start a little league for fun.

If you're interested let me know. We've 3 like minded players so far and looking for 8 so we can have a little division going where we play each other twice in a month.

The Knights of Retribution [KoR] are currently recruiting!

We are a mature gaming clan / community looking for mature members to join our growing clan. We are looking for mature minded gamers to have fun, hangout, and win game leagues. Our main game we play is Call of Duty: Black Ops and we are currently competing
in the warped Gaming League in the Black Ops Leagues!

A great well run community that values fun and good sportsmanship above all else. Superb set up for FIFA with different leagues and competitions running for Xbox One and 360, and events for other games as well like Forza 5.

I never much cared for MLG - they take the very core concept of playing games (fun) and turn it into a competition of skill instead. In doing so, they take a great many things that are fun in games and remove them leaving a bare-bones package that is no
longer any fun. I still remember not being able to use the rocket launcher or shotgun or needler or sword, etc. in Halo. Where's the fun in that?

My suggestion would be Rocket league. As long as you dont get sucked into playing competitively iot can be a real fun game!

This is a fantastic site to be involved with, with a great friendly community. If you are looking for somewhere to play fun and competitive FIFA without the usual people quitting out of the games this is the place to be, can't recommend it enough
