Sorry for all the issues with signing in. There is currently a
Service Alert out right now for Core services. There seems to be a fix for now by removing and adding profile. There is a way can be notified when any updates to the Alert happens. 0x8a4001a error code is usually what most
will see along with a white background. Other ones are there was a problem please try again later. If you decide to remove profile and not sure how to do so here is a link for it also for power cycling console.

Hi Fellow Gamers,

I will be closing this thread as it is linked
to a post from November 1, 2018. We
understand this is concerning and frustrating since the console will not sign in the profile. Here is something you can give a try that others said helped resolve this issue.
Try the following:

First,
remove the profile:

Saved games and progress acquired online are backed up in the cloud. Gamerscores, achievements, purchased games/DLCs, etc. are tied up to the account. Just
make sure you know the email and password of the account you have issues with.

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
2. Select System > Settings > Account > Remove accounts.
3. Select the account that needs to be removed, and then select Remove to confirm.
4. When you're finished, select Close.

Next do a power cycle
on the console. Don't add the profile yet.

1. Turn off the Xbox One console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.
2. Wait 2 minutes before powering it back on.

Finally,
re-download your profile by selecting the icon at the upper-left corner of the dashboard. Select ADD NEW, input your email and password.

Give this a try. If the troubleshooting steps listed above didn't help resolve the issue, please feel free to create
a new thread asking for assistance. When the new thread is created please copy and paste the URL to this thread showing that the troubleshooting steps listed above didn't fix the issue.
