Very weird predicament, how to take off parental controls.

I recently cut all ties with my father and moved in with my mom, as I’m still a minor he still has all controls on my Xbox and it’s basically on lock and doesn’t allow me to do much, this is also with anything on Microsoft. Is there anyway to take off the parental controls, I could verify the situation if needed but I just want to play my games.

hi. my name is mel and i am an independent advisor. To turn off the parental controls on Xbox, follow these steps:

Go to the Xbox Home screen.

Navigate to the ‘Settings’ option.

Select the ‘All Settings’ option.

Choose the ‘Account’ option.

Go to the ‘Family’ section.

Select the ‘parental control’ option.

Choose the ‘Off’ option.

Enter your password to confirm the changes.

You'll want to check out this page about family settings.

As your account is a minor, you will not be able to make any changes/remove your account from the family it until it reaches the Age of Majority for the country you are in. For example in the U.S. Age of Majority is 18.

You cannot change the age but you can turn off Parental Controls. See:
support.xbox.com/.../parental-control for the steps (that document tells you how to turn them on but it is the same steps for turning them off... You can see the Off option in the image).

On your computer log in to it and take off the parental controls, to make the xbox a trusted device.
