Very very long time for Game Updates

Updates for the 360 take some seconds to a couple of minutes.

Updates for 360 may be under ~200MB for the XBone most like ~2,5 GB.

Updates for the XBone will be take much of time, 1h and more with my 16MBit Internet.

We must install the Game to the HDD and load much of GB + wait so much of time before we can play the game. Why can MS not install the game itself on the HDD and lock the Online-Function until the Update is done? The Update could load behind the game is started.
You can play offline until the Download is done and reboot to install it.

Why did we must wait so much of time to can play with this currently avaliable solution. Thats not Next Gen

The Installation itself take a lot of time and the Updates did the same way.

Very Long Loading Times

The game is not optimized to be installed. It's actually meant to be streamed from the disc itself, much like GTA V.

Unfortunately if you're using the Games on Demand version, there is no workaround for this and loading times will take a while.

I just downloaded Halo 3 today and ever since then it is taking forever to even play the campaign by myself, or custom matches. I do not understand why this is taking so long just to get a game started, currently I have been sitting here for nearly 30 minutes
waiting to play the first mission of the campaign and its only at 36%.

I am also experiencing the same problem. However, I think there are some games that only requires "installation" to play them offline, updating could be optional. I remember when I was waiting for the game, Watch Dogs, to update after installation completed,
it took forever, and changed the status to "queued" in turn! When you were updating did you meet the same thing? Therefore, the next time I did it, I ignored "update" notification right after the game installed to my hardware, and started playing it!

The place where I am also has very poor internet speed, meaning that playing Titanfall is impossible for me.

And if you insist to finish that "Update" process, I suggest you to bring your console to any game shop that might have good internet connection, and have them done it for you!!!

I dont know 100% but i think there is no option to cancel the Update and play the game itself without unplug the Network Connection. On the 360 i could choose to disagree the Update and play Offline. The XB1 says (with LAN) install or abort, but abort is
here no play.

Far far away from NextGen, MS must necessarily rectify it in next time. Future looks different.

May I know what games you are trying to update but unable to?

 

The game itself is not the Problem, the Problem is exist with every big Update over ~300MB, but there are some of my games

Cod Ghosts has Updates with 2,5 GB (it's not my first one)

Titanfall tested in March has take between 1GB

Dead Rising 3 has Updates with 2-3GB

Forza 5 not tested but there are also big Updates last time

Just now i Updated COD Ghosts 2,5GB. It takes 1h 20 min.

After the Update, i started in COD the next download for the invasion Map Pack with my Seasonpass. I dont know how bis they are, but m Xbox has shut down between the Download (1h timeout time), so the Download/installation i also not completed and resume
now at 71%. The 360 shut down afte the Download is completed, the XB1 did not.
