Very slow performance while playing online. Multiple xbox ones in household

I am experiencing very laggy gameplay when i play any of my games. If i play halo 5, my screen is jumping around everywhere. I cannot even finish a game of madden without being removed due to a network error. I know it has something to do with the fact that
we have 4 xbox ones in one small house. However, theres never more than 2 xboxs on at the same time since 1 never gets played and the other 2 are on the same tv. So, i experience this lag mostly when there is somebody else playing on the other xbox. I am not
sure what to do here. I was thinking of buying a new router but wasnt sure if thats what the problem is or what router to buy. any help is appreciated.

Noticed i got a little confusing. I get the lag when there is 1 of the other 3 xboxs on while im playing mine. It is very frustrating since i cannot play my games when this happens.

 

Check the speed of your network by running your detailed statistics and post back the results. In the interim you might try resetting all of your network equipment (modem/router) by unplugging them for 30 seconds and then plug them back in. Also, do a
hard reset on your console by following these procedures. Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart
the console. Once it is back up and operational test the results. Let us know. Good Luck.

 

Slower speeds or lag on wireless is totally normal in this situation. And yes, if the other devices are using up your available bandwidth, then it will impact your speeds. If you're downloading something on two different devices , then those devices will
have to share the available bandwidth. A better line with a robust router is a must for multiple consoles.
