Very slow internet speeds on Xbox start up?

Pretty much, whenever I first turn on my Xbox One, the internet speeds drop to as low as 0.08mbps, this problem has only started within the past 2 weeks. I tried the subreddit but they said it's a bug with the preview program, I'm not in the preview program
to begin with.

I've tried a power cycle many times and it has fixed it one time, I turned off my Xbox to sleep and when I turned it on in the morning, the speeds dropped AGAIN. During the time of these slow speeds, the internet remains its normal speed on other devices
that are connected to it (laptop and phone), can someone recommend a solution?

Could be very slow internet speed on your end. How fast is your dial up?

 

xbox 360 internet explorer speed test

On the Xbox using internet explorer I did an internet speed test at Speed Test - Free Internet Speed Test – HTML5, No App Needed (both sites use HTML5 technology) and both speed tests on my Xbox were very slow between 1.5 Mbps to 3.5 Mbps. The Xbox is
connected using a cable not wireless. When I test my speed using my PC my speed is over 25 Mbps. Before I call my ISP, I would like to know if there is an explanation for the Xbox slow speeds.

 

Try doing a hard reset exactly like this to see if it helps this issue. Hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord
back in and restart the console. Once it is back up and operational test the results. Let us know. Good Luck!!

Have you tried rebooting the router usually the router has a power button on it (If not then it'll be a wire giving the router power unplug it) hold it until it powers off wait about 5 minutes and reboot it. Follow the step by step tutorial i made below.

Power cycle / hard reset the console (Instructions are above)

Power cycle the router (instructions are in my post)

Wait the average 5 - 6 minutes connect the router back in first then the console.

Start the console up and test both network and multiplayer connectivity.

You may also want to run a speed test on your network. (Test it when the console is on and off)

If it is still slow it's best to contact your ISP regarding how gaming and online play on the Xbox servers tend to act very slow.
