Very Poor Network Latency

The Xbox One detailed network statistics page tells me my latency is a whopping 300ms!

(Download speed is 111mbs, upload speed is 2.3mbps, no packet loss, MTU=1480)

I am using Telstra cable in Sydney, Australia. My Xbox One is connected via gigabit Ethernet to a Telstra supplied Netgear CG3 100 D-2 cable modem running software version 2.0605.

Various speed tests running on my PC (connected to the same router via wifi) report a latency of only 10ms.

Who should I speak to about investigating the cause of this poor latency?

I have completed around 640 games in Halo 4 and it runs very smooth 99.9% of the time unless someone in the room has a poor connection. Usually if they have a poor download speed or poor upload speed. Latency correction? Explain?

xbox ping issues

Once again, read the very article you linked to. They very clearly explain what their measurements are. Hint - it isn't just network latency.

Hello

The latency shown on the network tab is not an accurate reading to in game latency. The number shown is the ping the Xbox One gets trying to ping the Xbox servers in Redmond Washington, for gaming however your Xbox pings the closest server available so you
can just neglect the ping on the network tab.

I get the same upload and download with all 3 xbox’s but the original xbox one has very poor latency.

The lower the better, if I get above .40 consistently I start to look for why.. anything near or above 100 is right out.
