Very Odd Blank Screen Issue (not like others I've read about)

Has anyone ran across this Xbox One issue? I hook her up to the tv in my living room. Before I got a LED tv in my room I used to play the XB1 in the living room. I haven't played it in there for a year. I decide to hook my box up to the living room Tv
but all I get is a blank screen. I've tried hard resetting but still the blank screen. I thought it was my TV but the ROKU and XBOX360 work fine....but the weird thing is if I hook the tv back up in my room she works fine.....wth?

I am using a Lynksis wrt160n v3 router and have it port forwarded to give myself an open NAT. With an open NAT, I find my connection is 10x better for all multi-player games that I play, but at the same time, I can only connect to 1/4 people on my friends
list.

Now if I undo my port forwarding, I have terrible connection and a moderate NAT but I can connect to 100% of my friends list.

I am really stumped on what to do here as every guide I've read does not have a solution to this problem.

That is interesting. Is the TV in the living room different to the one in your room?

I've found a few troubleshooting tips that may help, try this and see how you go:

Your screen is blank after you power on the console

•Confirm that both your TV and Xbox One console are powered on.

•Check that your TV is set to the proper input signal (HDMI).

•Check that the HDMI cable connection to your console is secure.

•Check that the HDMI cable connection to your TV is secure.

•Perform a cold boot on your Xbox One console by holding the power button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds, and then power on again.

•Reset your display settings. Here's how: 1.If there’s a disc in the Xbox One console, eject it.

2.On the console, press and hold the Xbox button for five seconds to turn off the console.

3.Press and hold the Xbox button and the Eject button until you hear a beep to turn on the console.

Note This will boot your console in a low resolution mode (640 × 480). To reset these settings again, press the Menu button, select Settings, and then select Display & sound.

•Try plugging the HDMI cable into a different HDMI port on your TV.

•Try using a different HDMI cable to connect your console to your TV.

•Try connecting your console to a different TV.
