Very long install times ?

Im getting really fed up with these stupid install times, in trying to install Quantum break, i noticed my drive was nearly full and the install was taking forever, so i went out and got a new 2GB USB3 drive purposely built for the xbox,

3 Hours later its at 87% ?? 3 hours and im still waiting to play this dam game, when i buy a game with my money i EXPECT to play it when i want, not when its ready too, 3 bloody hours and ive still probably got another 40 minutes to wait

Its not just this game, lots of my games have really stupidly long install times ? why ?

How can i fix it so their like i dont know, 1 minutes like on PS4 ?

Install them while not connected to live,it'll be quicker.

 

That does seem slow, I bought it digitally and was playing it quicker than that. Alot quicker than that

 

Agreed,it definitely shouldn't take that long to install unless you've got poor internet & are downloading a patch at the same time.

 

My internet is really good, but guess it depends where im downloading from as im in the UK

Don't know if it would help but I always install the update after the game has been installed and never seems to take to long

 

Basically disconnect from Xbox live when you install games from disc, this ensures the system doesn't try to download and install updates at the same time as installing the game.

Also the PS4 doesn't install games in 1 minute, you may be able to "start" the game after one minute, but that will usually get you to the menu and you wont be able to go any further.
