Very Hesitant to add a credit card

I am wanting to strictly buy Battlefield 4 content only. But I am very concerned that if I do that then it will go into Auto-renewal and I can never remove the payment option without calling microsoft. I need some assurance, can someone please tell me if
I won't be charged extra for putting my credit card on my account? All I want to do is just buy the battlefield china rising DLC and then remove my payment

Error Redeeming Xbox live gold card

I had recently purchased an xbox live card as my gold status had run out some time ago and my credit card linked to the accounts were no longer valid due to them having to be canceled from my account being hacked and attempted charges being made to come
to find out my account has been suspended, which took digging through the internet just to find since putting in the code just brought up errors without an explanation of why it was not working. Now it seems my only option for rectifying the situation to add
a new credit card that I am hesitant to add after being hacked and little to nothing coming from xbox to help that situation and pay an additional $60 on top of the $60 I just paid for a new card.

 

Can't add credit card or paypal.

I'm having the EXACT same problem! When I attempt to add my credit card, it says "Please add a valid credit card".

 

auto renewal ONLY turns on when you buy a gold membership subscription on the 360 with your CC. as long as your only using it to buy DLC and anything from the marketplace you can always remove it whenever you want. the only time you cannot remove it if
it is tied to a current gold subscription when the aforementioned auto renewal is turned on, hope this helps.

 

If you are truly that concerned just buy a $25 or $50 Xbox gift card and use that.
