Very Disappointed w Xbox

I bought an xb1 on launch and it came w a faulty disk drive where it would make gringing noises and work only when it wanted to. Then today my disk wouldnt go in all the way and I come to find out a small spring came loose and a gear part was coming off. So
I called Support, hoping they would help since its not that old and they just tell me that my warranty is up and id have to pay around $130 to get it fixed and then wait 2 weeks to get it back. Ive been a loyal xbox customer but this is getting out of hand.
I went through 4 xb360s cuz of red rings and such and paid for every one. Im not trying to do the same w the xb1. I dont understand why only some people get a replacement when its under the same circumstances. Thanks for costing me more money.

it is a standard computer power chord, turn off you desktop computer and use it

How did you find out a spring had come loose & a gear part was coming off?

 

I opened it because when the ddrive gave out my disk wouldnt go in completely so I thought something was stuck in it or something, and the warranty had already run out anyways.

 

Similar issues, my disk drive gave up the ghost. The replacement xbox one arrived (under the advance exchange program), it arrived with an inoperable disk drive! Microsoft would not despatch a replacement Xbox one until my original was recieved by them.
Then, and only then, would they release a further xbox to replace their broken one and they will hold a charge against my credit card until their faulty console is with them!

So, when it eventually arrives, this will be my third Xbox One. Only one less than the 360's that needed repairing.

When it works the One is great but I am very dubious of the longevity of its components.

 

Well as you've opened it Microsoft won't repair it anyway.

 

Y ea I know the warranty goes out the window when I open it, but I knew it had already run out, thats y I opened it. Its cheaper for me to buy a new disk drive and have someone put it in than to pay Xbox $135 to fix the issue, which I still think, warranty
or not is b.s. My Sega still works yet I cant seem to get an xbox that runs after a couple years.

 

I guess the point is Xbox is costing me alot of money in b.s. that I really shouldnt b having to do, but im w NorthernSoulie, the xb1 is great, just doesnt seem to last and Xbox doesnt seem to give
[Mod Removed] out it or the fact that I and many others, have to spend more money to fix their faulty system. I also ad that I didnt get this xb1 very easily, I had to wait out all day, in the cold for a few hrs, to ensure that I got one on
launch. But this is what happens when ur dedicated to a cerain system I guess.
