Very disappointed tonight, over a simple question.

My apologies in advance if I'm posting in the wrong section, as I am very frustrated at the moment. Please read this story in entirety before you reply. Additional note is that my birthday was on 03/07 (March 07).

I saw people got gifts via e-mail from Microsoft for their birthdays recently, while I got nothing. I went to seek help on Twitter from the Xbox Twitter support team to ask why I didn't get anything, but everyone else did. They did not respond despite
me asking several hours before closing time. As a person who does not let go easily, I went on to seek support from a support chat. The official Xbox Support chat team was out for the day, so I tried asking an ambassador.

I went on to the "Ask An Ambassador" link, filled out the information and asked my question. As soon as I joined the chat, the ambassador started accusing and calling me a "troll". I'm extremely disappointed about this evening, and all I want to know is
why I didn't get anything for my birthday. Not even a "happy birthday, [player]!" email. The following imgur link are screencaps of the "conversation" between said ambassador and I. They cut off the chat before I could explain anything. Imgur

If someone could please answer my question tonight, that would make me feel very happy.

    Thank you all,

    Goreystep, AKA Joel.

    :)

    Very simple Xbox One question

I'm not a product tester and have no idea about either products and whether they work or not, but the reviews on both of the items seem fine to warrant a purchase on either or.

Very disappointed tonight, over a simple question.

I realize I could have been more clear in my question to the ambassador, but they came off as rude in my opinion, as they could have asked for me to be more detailed about my question and why I was seeking help from them. I'm not here to be a "troll". I'm
here to know why people have been getting emails/gifts from Microsoft on their birthday recently, while I got nothing. Again, any help is appreciated.

If you're a member of the Rewards program, they do send out Happy Birthday emails during the month of your birthday. However, neither they nor Microsoft actually send out gifts for birthdays. The items tour friends received may have been from a different
    promotion.

Sorry about your experience with the ambassador. Ambassadors are not employees of microsoft, we are just fellow gamers like yourself who volunteer to help. So unfortunately there are a few bad eggs.

  6. Just like Smwutches said,I got an email from the rewards program wishing m happy birthday bit it did not contain any kind of gift. I'm not aware that Microsoft has ever given out gifs for birthdays.

@Smwutches Would they still send them if it's the month of a player's birthday, and they had just joined the Rewards program a few days after their said birthday?

@SparkleZonFire I read that some people get paper print-outs of cakesin an email from Microsoft. Not sure if that's true. But if it is, I'll take it. Better than nothing IMO.

I don't think so. They usually send all of the birthday emails on the same day of the month (not on your actual birthday). So it usually comes in about a week into the month, so you would have had to have been in the program before then.

Oh, and the cake print outs are true and also from the Rewards program, but those ended last year I believe.

So if I joined the Rewards club on the 14th would I still have gotten the present? I'm guessing not.

No. The emails would have gone out before then.
