I had my new xbox one without Kinect for one day, an I just finished wrapping it back up in its box an sending it back hopefully tomorrow, "over the last few weeks to complain of a loud buzzing or clicking noise when the console is running. The
majority of the complaints appear to be from customers who purchased the
Xbox One without a Kinect motion sensor. One user, who posted about the issue in August, called it a "terrible noise," adding that it "sounds like an old printer and lots of static."

That is exactly what was wrong with mine, very annoying!

We can confirm that
Xbox Play Anywhere is only available if:

1. The game you purchased is a listed Xbox Play Anywhere title

2. You purchased it digitally

More clarifying info on how to take advantage of Xbox Play Anywhere below:

"When you buy an Xbox Play Anywhere digital game through the Xbox Store or the Windows Store, it’s yours to play on both Xbox One and Windows 10 PC at no additional cost. To take advantage of Xbox Play Anywhere, you will need to have installed the Windows
10 Anniversary Edition update on your PC, as well as the latest update on your Xbox One console. Then, simply log into your Xbox Live/Microsoft account and your Xbox Play Anywhere games will be available to download. On your Xbox One, games will show as “Ready
to Install” under “My Games and Apps”. On your Windows 10 PC, games will appear in 'My Library.' "

If you were told otherwise regarding discs as they relate to Xbox Play Anywhere, we're very sorry to hear that received the wrong information which influenced a purchasing decision.

In this case, as DominumStige mentioned, we recommend inquiring about a refund with the retailer you purchased the disc from and then purchasing the digital version instead.

Hi, thanks for your interrest.

The support just called me back.

They gave me the person from the yesterday evening call : this guy is now saying that I was about to give my game back to the store where I bought it, but I didn't had it before the call. It make no sense. For sure he didn't told me at all that the CD version
was working for Xbox playanywhere. But he did, believe me. And this girl I had on a call this morning said the same.

After asking the conditions to get the record of the yesterday call with this guy, he just hanged off.

A manager of the team called me back around noon. He is now listening the records of the call between me and the first agent.

Finger crossed to get the game for free (as I paid it once already) on my PC as indicated by the both microsoft employers ...

(PS : I have find the information regarding the Xbox playanhywhere conditions this morning but it was too late. Yesterday I decided to call and to ask directly because that was not clear enough.)

 

You had to make a new post for this? Old news, MS knows there was a problem with some consoles and will replace them.

I have the kinectless version and it's so quiet I have to double check it to make sure it shuts down.. it's even quieter than my 360 slim was. Good luck with your replacement, if you're getting "One". ;x

 

When you are mass producing a product there is a good probability (more like 100%) that there will be some lemons ..Its unfortunate for those that receive these lemons but at least the company makes good and gets you a keeper .
