Very bad support of Xbox - Billing and extending Xbox Live

Today I wanted to extend my xBox Gold Live account with one year, but the system did not want to accept my zipcode. I do live in Belgium, but have lived in Netherlands and zipcodes in BE are 4 numbers and in NL 4 numbers and 2 letters. I finally could make
the purchase by faking my zipcode. My credit card is also registered in NL, but wihh postal address in Belgium. Seems Microsoft is not working international and people who live close to the border are punished for this.

I thus started a chat via the website, but were kicked out 2 times after exchanging a lot of details to the agents Precious and Bob and now I have to wait again for over 10 minutes and repeat the whole story.

And of course no call back or outbound contact!!!!! Do you think I can just sit and wait till Microsoft is willing to talk to me.....

The last agent could not find any Xbox live on my gamertag on my sons gamertag or on my email. Strange, very strange as I have received the renewal email from Microsoft and my kids have used Xbox live for the last year!!!!

And finally the renewal did work, but said Live starts at 6-12, but my existing account only expires on 17-12, so Microsoft is stealing 11 days from me.

What's going on, this is a really bad support

If your account doesn't match your actual region then you should change it

Billing address has to match your account region

This is normal for all international servers due to differences in tax laws

You can change it under the migration tool

Also the reason why the code won't work is because if you purchased a belguim code then it wont work on a nether lands account

You are supposed to use an account that matches your actual region

That's not due to limition but international laws

You cannot use your credit card permanently in another region

You will receive a phone call if you make too many transactions

I know my bank calls me if I do unless I tell them I'm traveling

 

Basically if you have a Netherlands account but live in beliguim you need to migrate to belguim and remove the Netherlands creditcard and put a Belgium credit card instead

 

There is nothing the billing agent can do your billing address has to match your credit card or it will never go thru

He can migrate your account to Netherlands yo accept the Netherlands creditcard if you want however you will have issues with downloads of triple a titles and dlc
