Very bad streaming quality on Instant Video

since a few weeks I have serious truoble with Amazon Instant Video on Xbox (Germany). The quality is very often very very bad. I already connectes Instant Video and Kabel BW. My 100Mbit/s-Internet-connection (Xbox is connected via LAN) works very well so
far. Some tests showed that I everything seems to be allright and when I use Instant Video on my Smart-TV, i can use 1080p easily (WLAN connection).

I checked the LAN connection: about 100Mbit/s... I reseted everything and disconnected the power supply from the devices for a few minutes. I re-installed the Instant Video App... I don't know what is wrong.

It worked very well for about 1,5 years and I did not change anything in my network-connection. Why does my Xbox has trouble with streaming with Instant Video?

The only strange fact that I could find is that when I am checking my bandwidth in my Xbox-connection-settings, it reched sometimes about 86 mbit/s and sometimes 6 mbit/s ?!?! Why?! The same, when I connect my Xbox via WLAN...

Has anyone else the same problem?

For those with Netflix Video Quality Issues, please try this and report your findings.

Tried it a few other times throughout the day and the throughput got really bad. Didn't impact the stutter, it stuttered at 5800 as much as it id at 580K, just turned the video quality to crap.

Also ran a comparison and opened a network traffic monitor and what Netflix reports is significantly HIGHER than the actual throughput. Also ran Amazon Instant and the throughput was 7X higher on HD than Netflix was.

Anyway, poor video quality is definately throughput, but the stuttering is something else and impacts all streaming video for some reason.

 

Stream Super HD and 3D

Same here very disappointed with "next gen" streaming on Xbox one, quality is very bad, I'm wired with a 60Mbps download 10Mbps upload and with the sample short test movie from Netflix it does not stream at more than 535 kbps while any of the Apple Tv's
in the house on wireless or the Netflix app on one of my Tv's are streaming at super hd amazing quality, I want to use the Xbox one for all my streaming as it should be the "ONE" to do it all but so far the experience on video is horrible.

 

First of all, is yours a private network? Are you sharing your Internet connection with others?

Make sure you are the only one using the router by Havana access to your router information page (commonly 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.254).

Open the network settings page in the settings app and check if your NAT is open or restricted, if not open in

the same page of the router configuration you can use the port mapping feature in order to configure the router to share the internet connection properly to your Xbox One (you can find some guides via Bing or here in the forums).

It is a private network and I am not sharing my connection. The other devices in my network are mostly off.

My NAT is open. My internet service provider already checked my connection, everything is still fine. It must be a problem from the Xbox One network software and the amazon app. Other streaming services are fine... maybe i should end the preview registration?

How many other wireless devices do you have connected to your Network Hardware? If you're seeing such a big discrepancy in speeds, it sounds like your Network Hardware may not have the capacity to support all devices connected to it. Can you clarify what
type of Network Hardware you're using?

Also, because you're in the Xbox One Update Preview, be sure you're posting in the forums for that. If you can't access that link please let us know

 

It is only a Windows Phone and a Win 10 Notebook, which is mostly off. Unitymedia alreadey checked my connection, everything is fine though. Only Instant video on Xbox One has often a really bad quality. But just for information my router is: Technicolor
TC7200 and my One is connected via LAN

I reported my instant video streaming problems a few times with the preview app. Now I deleted the preview registration and reseted my Xbox One completely. I hope it will work better now.
