Vertical Standing X Box One

I just don't have enough space in my TV cabinet to locate an X box One horizontally, and I don't want to mess up the living room karma with boxes and wires all over the place, it just goes totally against my technology invisible in the background philosophy.

The 360 fits a treat vertically, hiding behind a nice oak door on the cabinet.

I'd prefer to stick with Microsoft, (I am one of a small bread of Microsoft fans), so does anybody geekerly (geekerly is a new word I've just invented) inclined know if Microsoft is going to make a vertical standing version of the X box One in the future,
if not I might get a PS4 which I believe can sit vertically, can be hidden in my cabinet and not corrupt the tech. free environment in my living-room of nice plants and pictures.

difference between Project Scorpio and regular xbox one X?

The only non-cosmetic difference is that the Scorpio comes with the vertical stand in the box, while the regular One X does not.

I never liked the idea of the console being vertical, doesn`t seem right somehow.

So my One X is staying horizontal and the stand is staying in the box.

 

Microsoft says that only the horizontal orientation is supported.

Doing a web search for "Xbox One vertical" gets a bunch of links from around the time of the launch in 2013 saying that the vertical orientation is at your own risk, specifically saying that the slot-loading drive was not designed for it. I'd say you
are risking disc damage if you got that way.
