    Verizon FiOS TV App not outputting surround sound


    I'm trying to use the FiOS TV App on my Xbox One. I'm trying to watch a program that has a surround audio track, but I'm only getting stereo audio from my Xbox. I've contacted verizon and they confirmed to me that if the program has a surround audio track
    then the app is receiving that track. The XBOX is set to output 5.1 uncompressed and the receiver is getting the 5.1 signal from games, blu-rays, netflix, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Crackling audio for TV via Oneguide app

    My TV app has been making a crackling audio sound for many channels (but not all it seems). I use a Verizon FIOS Motorola TV box, and surround sound thru a Sony home theater in a box. This never happened until the NXE previews, and never with games. Only
    the TV aka Oneguide app. Also watched a movie via VUDU or WWE Network with no problems.

    Also unrelated question- is there a voice command to bring up the new sidebar?

    Unless you can get Verizon FIOS in your area... you will not be able to get the app. You must be a Verzion Fios TV customer use this app.

    HDMI pass through

    Very disappointed in the pass-through feature. I use Verizon Fios and have problems recognizing the box and sometimes the sound drops and the picture starts blinking on and off. The One Menu is slow and more cumbersome than the Verizon Guide. Add no surround
    sound with pass-through and I find it useless. Really disappointing. I disconnected it.

    SAFLEY, the Verizon FIOS app just popped up on Xbox One today, so I guess the One is getting the TV apps, also. Not sure what you get with this other than the live TV, since I do not have Verizon.

    Verizon killed their TV app on Xbox and Smart TVs. Here's what I got from Verizon on March 17th:

    On March 31, 2016, the Fios® TV app you are using to watch your Fios TV programming through a Smart TV or an Xbox gaming system will be retired and
    will no longer be available for use. Sorry for the inconvenience.



    But we have great news; you can watch your Fios TV content using our Fios Mobile appfrom your smartphone or tablet. This app allows you to stream TV content in and out of
    your home and so much more.



    If you don’t already have the app, you can easily download it now.



    I know it doesn't solve the problem, but hopefully it answers your question.

    Well, after restarting the XB1 (for the 4th time) it suddenly started working. Glad it's working and I hope it keeps working. :)
