    The ip automatic setting and hard reset worked for me thank god!!!!!

    Hello Collin,

    So is your internet supplied by local hotspots? If that is the case then this issue becomes tricky to troubleshoot. If you haven't already, I recommend

    performing a power cycle on the xbox    .

    If this does not help then you would need to contact your service provider for technical support.

    Hi Collin,

    I was having the same issue with my Xfinity connection. I manually added the MAC information into the router admin site on my laptop (type "10.0.0.1" into your address bar and enter login info while signed into your wifi, default user name is "admin" and password
    is "password"). Even after adding it still wouldn't work. Then I read on another forum that someone manually changed their channel that the wifi was being sent on and it worked for them. I gave it a shot by going to Gateway -> Connection -> Wi-Fi, changed
    selection to manual and picked a different channel number. Boom, I was able to connect. Hopefully this helps.

    Did you “change the channel” on your xbox one console or somewhere else? We are trying to use our hotspot from our phones and tablet and it says “harware problem” and wont connect.

    i have laptops phones and ipods connected to the internet. verizon can only see if theres anything wrong with verizon stuff. xbox live is not verizon. so they cant trouble shoot for it. which means that its up to xbox to do it. which so far no one has helped
    me with anything. but they did say that it was verizons fault. they even went as far as to crack jokes on verizon.
