Solution 1: Verify your Microsoft account security information

If you recently added security contact information to your Microsoft account, you may need to verify the information. This verification process tells us that you, not someone trying to steal your account information, made the changes. Here’s how to verify
your security information:

Sign in to your Microsoft account. If you forgot your password or it doesn’t work, reset your password.

Under Password and security info, click Edit security info.

If your security information needs to be verified, you’ll see the word Verify under the phone number and/or email address. Click Verify.

Sign out of your Microsoft account, and then sign in again.

Try to sign in to Xbox Live on your console again.

I have had issues at times signing in and finally a message would pop to ask me to verify my identity; basically sign back in.

Verify your security information from your computer or other Internet-enabled device

Here's how:

1. Sign in using your Microsoft account email address and password.
   
2. Select Security.
3. Click Update info.
4. Click Verify next to your security information.
5. You'll receive a security code via text or email to verify that you're the account owner. Enter the code when you receive it, and then click
   Verify.

To verify your email and phone on account, log in to account.live.com and look for Security & Privacy, Change password and more. You should see your email address with an option to verify or send a code. Check your email for the code and return to enter
it on our site. This will verify the email address. Please do this for an email and phone number and you’re all set!
