    verifying game ownership?

I apologize if this may be the wrong location to post but it was the closest I initially came across. My question is whether there is a way to verify which profile owns the rights to a game downloaded to my xbox one console??

When xbox one first released my roommate(1) had purchased several release games to go with it such as Titanfall and Ryse. However, he did not initially put in all the digital codes himself. We had another roommate(2) living with us at the time who may have
been the one to download the games and we are unsure if he(2) did so on his own profile or if they were properly installed on roommate(1) profile. Roommate(2) has since moved out and we are worried deleting his profile from our console will in turn remove
one of our purchased games.....or due to running out of hard drive space... if we were to uninstall a game that may have happened to be on Roommate(2) profile we would not be able to reinstall at a later date. Any way to clarify who has the game rights? thanks
for any help that can be provided

    :)

Verifying content screen Destiny 2 every 20 minutes

trying to find out if anybody else is having problems with Destiny 2 booting them from Crucible or strikes when they're playing with friends and then when you restart the game it says verifying content and it takes like 10 15 minutes to re verifying the
content and make the game unplayable

I got gold and cant get free gold games

It's also worth just verifying that your membership etc meets the requirements to obtain the games with gold.

    verifying game ownership?

    Hi there,

Basically, the profile that purchased the game(s) or redeems the code(s) will own those games. If you were to take the profile of roommate 2, and delete it from your console, then the games will no longer be playable by roommate 1's Gamertag.

However, if you both agree that you want to keep playing each other's games on different consoles, you can each set your consoles to the other persons 'Home Xbox' consoles. This means that you will have their games, and they will have yours (Digital only,
obviously) - without the owner of the games needing to be signed into your Xbox.

    Hope that helps!

Thanks for the reply. I understand that concept but it is undetermined whose acct actually redeemed the game.. That is what I'm hoping to figure out. If game is RM1, than we'd simply delete RM2 profile but otherwise will have to keep it on.

If game is under RM2, and we delete game from HD while still keeping the profile, could we reinstall game at a later date? This is considering RM2 profile is password protected and he is not accessible

You should be able to look at your purchase history (which should include downloaded games I think) via account.microsoft.com . Get your room mate to log in and see if they were redeemed against his account.

Edit: Actually I've just went and checked my account and my Halo 5 digital download I redeemed DOESN'T show, so I'm not sure this will work, sorry.

After another thought, if you go to xbox.com and log in with one of the accounts, then browse the store you should be able to see if the content has already been purchased which should mean that account owns the content.

If a game is deleted you should be able to re-download the title providing the owning account does it or it is set tot heir home console.

    verifying game ownership?

Slightly more time consuming but I think this should probably work. I'll give it a try.

On the console it appears to combine accts and I've noticed it usually just gives the play or dl options. Going to website from comp should distinguish individual ownership. Chking when I can and will update findings. Thanks for the idea

Unfortunately the Microsoft store from web appears to only sell disc copies. As such, it just assumes I'm looking to buy a new copy from what I can tell. So I am unable to verify it.

I guess now it may come down to loading profile into a new xbox and seeing which games carry over.

I was just about to edit previous post. Originally I was being bumped to Microsoft store not the xbox store you linked

I just saw that and was able to verify our ryse copy. Chking others now. Greatly appreciate the assistance and sticking with the thread. My question is now answered.

With that said. I've tried uninstalling the game but it doesn't give me the option to reinstall. Says I need to buy. And I looked at a https//commerce.Microsoft. com/payment hub. And its there paid for
