    Verifying An Email That I No Longer Have Access To


    Hi,

    I recently tried to log into another account on my Xbox One. I entered the email address followed by the password which led me to a screen saying that I would need to check the email associated with that account. The problem is, I no longer have that email.
    I tried to add another alias via the live.com website, but I wasn't able to because I never verified the email address connected to the account while I still had access to it. What can I do? Thanks

    I no longer have access to my old email address. I do not remember password. When talking to Xbox support they say since my autopsy is thru PayPal they are having trouble verifying my info. Someone please help

    How do I verify my primary alias to change my email when I don't have access to that old email anymore?

    I have been pulling my hair out on the phone with support trying to figure this out.

    My Microsoft account is over 10 years old. I no longer have access to the primary email address linked to it. It is an SBCglobal.net email. They don't even exist anymore.

    I can't add another new current email to change it to my primary without verifying my old one. But like I said, I can't access it. I have been signing it to my account on my Xbox for years without even thinking about changing that email. I have the password
    to my account, and should have another email and my cell phone linked to it also, but can't do anything until I verify through that stupid email.

    Do I have any options? I'm sure we should be able to verify my identify through some other means. HELP.

    I am very sorry for the problem you are experiencing, I invite you to follow the steps suggested by Xbox Support:

    If you can't sign in to your Xbox after changing your Microsoft account password, the console may not have received your new account password. To resolve this issue, try the solutions on this page.

    If you see a message with an error code, please tell me so I can find a solution to your specific error.

    Important: Before trying the following solutions, make sure you can sign in to your Microsoft account online. To do this, go to account.microsoft.com, select Sign in, and enter your Microsoft account email address and new password.

    Solution 1:

    1. Press and hold the Xbox button  located in the center of your Xbox controller to open the Home/Stop center.

    2. Select Restart console.

    3. Select Restart.

    4. Once the console has restarted, try to log in again.

    Solution 2:

    Step 1: Remove your account from the console

    1. Press the Xbox  button to open the guide.

    2. Select Profile & system > Settings > Account > Remove accounts.

    3. Select your account and confirm the operation.

    4. Restart the console (see solution steps 1).

    Step 2: Add your account back to the console

    1. Press the Xbox Button  to open the guide.

    2. Select Profile & system and then Add or change.

    3. Select Add New.

    4. Enter the email address and password for your Microsoft account.

    5. Complete the personalization settings on the following screens.

    I am trying to change my primary alias email but I have to first verify that email address but the problem is I no longer ave access to that email anymore. what can I do? in order to add another alias i have to first verify the old email but I cant.

    I have the same problem. The email on my xbox live account is years old, I have no access to it anymore, and I am unable to add a new email because "I still need to verify my email." That's pretty difficult considering I no longer have access to it. Great
