Verifying a Used Console

Hi,

I am trying to purchase a used 360 console online and the seller gave me the serial number to do a lookup. When I enter the serial number (or any xbox 360 serial number) on the lookup page and click "Check" I get an error "Uh oh... that shouldn't have happened."
No other information is provided.

Xbox live won’t work

I entered an Xbox live gold code and it glitched while verifying. Now it says the code has already been used and it still says I don’t have gold. I’ve already tried turning my console on and off but it still says I don’t have gold

did you try to use your console with another to tv, just to verify its not your console.

To verify if the problem is really the connection you should try to use an Ethernet cable to connect the console, this does not have to be permanent just to verify the connection
