    Verification loop with no code being sent


    After receiving a notification that there was suspicious activity, I kept the name of my live.com email account but have the emails sent to a different email address. While I can log into the account, every time I try to access the Xbox account on my desktop, it says "because you're accessing sensitive info we are sending a code to *** Die E-Mail-Adresse wurde aus Datenschutzgründen entfernt. ***" and am not getting that code to the live.com account. I don't know if it's because I did something wrong when adding this new email address, or why I am being prompted but I cannot access the live.com account now. It also seems that I have a Microsoft Store error now. How do I access the account?

    This thread is several months old.

    Please create a new thread detailing your situation along with any error codes/messages you see and troubleshooting steps you've taken so that we can provide you individual support.

    A few things to include for clarity,

    • What code are you not getting? The two-factor authentication code?
    • Are you getting the code sent to your phone or e-mail?

    Unfortunately, these emails seem to give a lot of us problems. It's like you have to try at random times in order for the email to go through.

    If you needed to update some items right away, you could still do so with the help of a Billing Agent by calling 1-800-4MY-XBOX

    A few months ago I once tried to update my info, went to the billing site, was told to check my email for a code but I never got one.

    One week later I get the email but it looks like the code is no longer valid.

    It's odd because 2 days ago I went to the billing site again and I got the email right away.
