Verification charge still hasn't been refunded. (India)

I signed up for the xbox game pass free trial, after entering the debit card information a charge was taken. Which seemed normal since I've seen it happen a couple of times. But the charge was taken twice Rs.71 for a total of Rs.142 was something I've never
seen before.

It's been nearly 24 hours and it still hasn't been refunded yet. Please clarify the circumstances regarding this, Isn't supposed to be immediate or will it take a longer time to be refunded. Or is it the charge was taken mistakenly?

For some people it's shown that they've been charged as a verification, but it hasn't actually be charged yet. They could also have only created a label for it and it hasn't actually shipped yet (since it's the weekend).

That's typically a verification charge just to make sure they can use the card. Verification charges refund themselves after a few hours or so.
