Venting My Frustrations with Xbox One and Halo: MCC

So 70Mbps down 20Mbps up isn't adequate enough? Lmao ok my bad it's my fault and has nothing to do with shoddy XBL service

 

My 20GB update for MCC took all of 15 minutes at the most to download. I would say contact your internet provider and maybe upgrade to a Gigabit router and or switch if you haven't already, makes worlds of difference.

 

I like the gamer or fanboy who said buy faster internet connection or don't buy the XBOne.

You have 70mbps down (which is probably your burst speed) and 20 up.

That maybe adequate for you, but you probably are downloading somewhere around 20-30mbps and sharing Internet in your home with others.

It can be other things too not just XBL.

 

... But yet PSN and PC downloads are faster? If PSN and PC downloads are fast, and XBL downloads are slow, how can you still say it's my end?

 

^ Are you with Virgin Media or BT infinity? you know you are on line share right so you will NEVER get 70 Down.

Luckily my line is uncontested at 120MB down, everything downloads and installs fine - i bought both CoDAW and MCC one after the other and both were fully downloaded within the hour...

 

My X1 and PS4 down loads are about the same, PS4 takes longer to install. If your X1 is down loading slow I would look at your setup, IMO your missing something.

 

How is this MY fault? Why does it have to be on MY end? Last night it took almost 90 minutes to download a 40GB file on XBL. On PC it takes me less than an hour to download that amount. Even detailed network statistics on XBL tested me at 70Mbps down 20Mbps
up.

The only issue I'm having is with XBL. PS4 and PC downloads are blazing fast. Yet somehow this is on MY end?

 

Because FirstRespond3r Xbox Live is infallible, therefore couldn't possibly be at fault.

 

Yeah, how did this even become a thread about internet speeds? MS dropped the ball on this launch. 343 dropped the ball on this launch. Oh, you have a bunch of people trying to download your game in time for it's launch? THEN INCREASE YOUR BANDWIDTH WITH
ALL THE MONEY THEY JUST PAID YOU FOR THE GAME. I'm tired of these Xbox apologists. Their network was slow. Their matchmaking doesn't work.

If I went to a restaurant, ordered food, and then waited 3 hours for it to come out...and when it did, they only brought half of what I ordered, I'd just leave! I wouldn't sit around saying "oh well, I guess this is my fault. I should know better than to
try to order FOOD from a RESTAURANT at DINNERTIME." This is Microsoft/343's business, it is their JOB to make a bug-free game and be prepared to distribute it and to be ready to handle the matchmaking traffic.

@Konamicode200 - The thread turned on the single reason that one of the "Helpers" simply stated "Pay for faster internet". I don't know where you go for support with people who actually are concerned and do know what they are talking about. Apparently if
my downloads are good then everyone's should be as well, after all, I'm a real professional and know all about networking, location and land and environment. It's no different then buying a car that gets re-called and the manufacturer saying "Learn to drive".
