    Ventilation issues as of 02-09-20. Only with games running on the Xbox one X


    My Xbox one X fan is running louder then normal. I can hear it barely while my TV is playing game audio.

    I was playing assassin's Creed Odyssey when I had the game crash three time in a row on me, I did a full hard reset to the console and decided to play Halo 5 in stead that's I noticed to loud noise and as soon as I got last the title screen on Halo 5 my Xbox just shut it self off.

    It is well ventilated it is in a open area in my entertainment center and I have had the console for years with out issues

    Any advice as to why this started to happen?

    Xbox one x turns off trying to play 2k games

    Make sure your xbox one x is well ventilated. Is this the only game you are having an issue with. Sometimes the servers of the gaming company is an issue they most likely come with a update possibly.

    Streaming Video/Games Freezes Unless I play windowed or a toolbar is up. Audio is fine.

    So about 80% of the times it seems to be working for me now. However when it does work all of a sudden the image freezes. I can hear the sound goes on just fine, but the image is frozen and all other videoplayers and whatnot gets real choppy.

    This lasts for maybe... 30 seconds or so I guess and then its back to normal again.

    Seems every time I get these issues I can see the following error in the logs:

    my xbox legit says last updated 2020-09-02 12:14pm and reformating fixed the issue looks like i got alot of redownloading to do :(

    Hi,

    A normal functioning, well ventilated Xbox One X should not be loud, regardless of what game is being played.

    Make sure your console is well ventilated.

    Only stand your console up if you have the official stand. Putting the console in a vertical position without the stand will block the ventilation at the bottom of the unit.

    I am having the same problem with NBA 2K20 and only this game. I can't get passed halftime in a game without the my Xbox One X completely shutting down. When I turn the Xbox One X back on, I get a message that it shutdown to prevent overheating. The console
    is in a well ventilated open space.

    I have zero issues with any other game or app.
