    For normal and sub guns, it's lower velocity ammo. That's why certain rounds IRL are nasty suppressed. The UMP is really nice because a normal .45 is close to subsonic. You end up with a large round that's not going that much slower, so the end result
    is a quiet, extremely deadly 45. Something like the P90 is the exact opposite. The round is normally small and extremely high velocity. Suppressing it would really neuter the round.

    Sniper rifles aren't quiet suppressed. It's all about getting rid of the visual signature when firing. No dust cloud or muzzle flash.
