VCRuntime140_1.dll causing 0xc0000020 error when launching game pass games

I had this issue around a year ago. I could tell you all the 10 steps I followed to solve it, unfortunately what helped me to solved this was to restart my PC as it comes here:

In the part of Windows 10 click on "Reset this PC" these instructions will help you to solve the problem, you can even leave your important files!

I'm sorry to hear that you are having this problem, after a web search I found that you should reinstall the Microsoft Visual C++ redistributables on your PC. You can locate and download them here:

Important: Once you finish installing them, restart your PC and try launching the game again.

Hi-

I am also having trouble running Fallout New Vegas and Fallout 4 on PC.

I get two error messages, saying the files MSVCP140.dll and VCRUNTIME140_1.dll cannot be found, and then another error message from Xbox PC saying the game has crashed. This happens with both games.

I updated my computer and the graphics card driver and I reset the store cache. The games won't run in administrator mode.

Any other suggestions? Windows 11, and Xbox store says the games "should play great on this PC".

Same issue here, it started when using Norton to scan Xbox Game Pass folders would cause a BSOD, now just launching some Game Pass games will cause BSODs.

I have done that before also the updater doesnt work while i open the updater it does 0xc0000020 for everything then displays 1 last one with error 0xC1
