Vault 88 - Thoughts?

Hey everyone,

So I had some time to play around in Vault 88 this weekend and was wondering what everyone else thought of it.

I like that it gives such a large area to build in. Plenty of room to expand. What I wasn't expecting was the intensity of the enemy creatures in the vault. I found that exploring and unlocking new areas got to be quite expensive (taking into account
the amount of ammo used to kill radscorpions, mole rats and the mirelurk Queen as well as the resources to repair my power armor). The large amount of resources that can be gathered once the workshops are unlocked in great. As well as the prebuilt water
purifier. I'm using my Vault as a master production facility of food and water for the rest of my settlements (thanks to the supply routes). I'm also storing my legendary weapons, clothing and armor at the fault.

How are you utilizing your vault?

Restarting Fallout 4

of all the dlc's I recommend automaton, far harbour and nuka world as they have the most content. a couple of the others just add things for settlements if your into that sorta thing. vault 88 is hilarious and fun but it's very short.

Use a HOLO or the iron sights with it.

Don't use any kind of magnifying scope.

I can agree with you. I love making settlements from creativity and Vault 88 was an amazing idea. I liked how it came with vault suits and some cool Pip-Boys. My only pet peeve about this was the limit for settlers, I wish I could get more but there is a
vault to help with that and to add more buildings for your vault. I needed to get a mod for vault security suits but that's a minor flaw since you could take some from other vaults. I'm glad it's a large open vault but I wish it gave a basic beginning room
because I had an issue with where exactly to start. All in all it's a great update and a few mods and creativity can make it even better but still the vanilla version is great itself.

 

The limitations for all of the settlements is something that I wish had been addressed by now. Thankfully, there are mods to remove the building limitations but it would be nice to gather 30 to 50 settlers, over time, in the settlements. Or at least, continue
to gain settlers until you turn off the recruitment beacons. Otherwise, settlements like Sanctuary, that has large areas for building, are under utilized. But, we have mods that allow for all of that extra stuff.

 

I enjoyed Vault 88, the quests were fun, the exploring was great. If I had to complain about anything it would be the missle equiped raiders that spawned in my vault outta thin air lol. besides that 88 is amazing for distribution purposes
