Various Social Feature Malfunctions

as a relatively frequent player, I make quite a few game clips. I have to clear up my game DVR quite often actually. This time was different. When I wanted to make a clip one day and I double tap the home button and pressed X as I usually would do, nothing
happened. This continued for quite a while until it struck me to delete some clips. As I was going into the part of the menu where one could select many clips and delete them all at once, the Xbox wouldn't load any, so I had to delete them one by one. After
this one of my friends was playing online and I wanted to join his game and make a party with him. He sent me many party invites, but each time I held down the home button to join it nothing would happen. Or, in other words, things would proceed as though
the notification of the invite had not existed. It would give me the options to disconnect the controller and or turn off the Xbox instead. He sent me many more invites into the party and I tried to create my own as well, but nothing worked. I can access
the menus, but when I tried to "join MOWGLEE's party" or "except the party invite", the only thing that would happen was the button being pushed, And nothing will come of it. This is rather disconcerting because as I said before I make quite a few clips
and I'm good friends with this other player and I wish I were able to make clips and talk with this friend. I'm not sure if there's anything I can do to fix it.

PS, I have tried turning the Xbox off and on again.
