    Various messaging issues on Xbox 360


    For at least 6 months, myself and literally everyone I know or have come into contact with in the last 6 months are unable to receive messages on xbox 360 normally. There is a work around that most of the community has figured out
    though. If you delete an old message, all unreceived messages will pop simultaneously. So for example, player A, B, and C send me a message at 5pm, 6pm, and 7pm respectively. I will not receive any of them. At 8pm I delete one old message. All 3 messages from
    players A, B, and C will pop at the same time with a time stamp of 8pm.

    Another issue that has only been going on for the last 2 weeks as far as I know and again, literally everyone on my friends list says they have the same problem, whenever I try to send a message, it times out and displays an error
    message reading: "Can't complete this process. Please try again. For more info, visit www.xbox.com/support." This error message has come up while trying to send evey single message for the last two weeks. However, the people I tried to send messages to have
    told me that they actually got the messages. So it seems that the messages are actually sending, it's just that there's an error message now for some reason.

    I can't speak for everyone and maybe this is a smaller problem that I feel like it is but as I said earlier, literally every single player I have come into contact with has expressed that they are experiencing the same exact issues.
    And I play with a lot of different people.

    I am in the U.S. and have had various issues with this on Xbox 360 as well...do you have the ability to redeem the games from Xbox.com?

    Second what Chips said about installing off-network. As to the controller, have you made sure to go into Settings and update your controller? There is a firmware update which fixes several little bugs and quirks with the controller, which happened back before
    they started releasing controller updates.

    It's most people as far as I know, the Error message could not be sent thing has stopped for me but messages still are delayed coming through for myself and the people I send them to, From what I've seen, Xbox one is fine. Where as 360 has completely gone
    off the rails in this issue. Really hoping this gets seen by someone in the Dev team and can actually do something about it, it's becoming increasingly frustrating to the point where I need to stop doing everything I'm doing and sign out and back in just to
    receive everything.

    The reason that your installs are taking a long time is because you are installing them through your network. Try going into settings and disconnecting your network while the download is paused, then restart your console by holding down the power button.
    When you resume the i stall, it should go a lot faster because you are installing directly from the disc, and not over the Internet.

    I'm having the same issue and will get various error messages. I've gotten both the Teredo error message as as UPnP messages, but when I use my old Xbox One on the same modem at the same time I have no issues.
