Various games and error code 0x80831002

Hello,

i get constantly the error code 0x80831002 (There's a problem with your saved games) if playing various games. Additional i have problems by saving configurations or savegames. The only way to fix it is to set the console into extraditable state and to reconfigure
them. I often repeated it.

The MS Support means it is a defect and will send me a replacement console. But that can take up to 28 days.

I´m not completly shure, that it´s really a hardware failure. Is there someone who knows about this problem?

Error code

got an error code 0x80831002 it basically said to delete the only saved file. Can I fix this and get my game where I left off?

 

I need to contact Xbox support for issues with my son's xbox one console.

My son has been having issues with his Xbox One. It is very slow in getting to the sign in screen for xbox live. He has been getting various error messages as follows and they do not come up in the "error code help" section of the Xbox website. The codes
are:

0x80831002

0x80a30204

0xd000189

0x8027025a

0x8007045d

0x80270300

If anyone has any ideas on how to contact Xbox to get help it would be very much appreciated.

No result unfortunately.

 

The only thing i want to know, is it hardware based or a software problem. A hardware problem is easy to fix with a new console, but if it´s software based i think Microsoft has to fix it. I can´t do nothing more like setting the console to delivery status.

I would be glad about advice.

I had this issue with my Project Scorpio edition. Bad internal drive had to have it swapped for a newer non-scorpio unit.

Either bad O/S patchs going out or bad internal hard drives. I'm going to go with bad internal drive since I'm not having these issues on the new system.

Sadly only had the system for a few weeks where as my bad internal drive took a good month to pop up. Hoping the standard editions don't have these problems.

 

How did you know it was a 'bad internal drive'? I'm only just having the issue since late December... comes up on AC Origins and TC Ghost Recon Wildlands... games that repeatedly save progress.

I've also got a Scorpio Edition X1X.

 

UPDATE.... issue seems resolved (for now) by doing a factory reset of the X1X. Settings > All Settings > System > Console Info > Reset console. You can opt to NOT delete games and apps, but it clears out your login details and saves... which are recovered
once you go thru set up again.

 

Have you had the issue occur again? The only game I've had this issue with is Far Cry 5. I've not had the issue with any other game like AC Origins. I thought it was just a Far Cry 5 issue but apparently not...

 

This is a bit of an old post but have you came across the issue again? I just started getting it and your method didn't fix it for me.

 

Well this problem stinks, I've done the Reset and the full shutdown while also turning off instant-on mode temporary fixes all though. Seems that even the summer X units are still affected.
