Vanguard Reputation

My Vanguard Reputation is stuck at 1160/1500. I keep doing bounties but it doesn't increase. Am I missing something or is it not working right now?

Man this sucks..

Spent about 8 hours doing bounties and vanguard strikes just to realize that my vanguard reputation has stayed at 997/2000..... WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Vanguard Marks?

Okay, I really don't know how this works, but I finally reached Vanguard rank 3 and I don't reputation anymore. If I where to wear another factions cloak, I'm a Hunter, and play a Strike mission would I still earn Vanguard Marks?

try doing a few patrol missions, or a public event and see if it goes up

If you have an item for rep gains with another faction like dead orbit equipped then your rep will be going there.

Marks and reputation are earned separately. You will still earn Vanguard marks in strikes, crucible marks in crucible, but you rep will counts towards whoever you represent on your class item.

if you are wearing a faction class item, all ur reputation gains will go to the faction instead.wear a non faction class item and ur rep will go to either vanguard or crucible respectively

It's cool now I'm starting to get marks by doing online strikes with my fireteam. It appears that vanguard reputation has no bearing on getting marks it just slowly and I mean slowly increases your vanguard rank. I
have done like 30 or so bounties and a crap load of mission and my vanguard circle is only half filled but I guess that's another aspect of an mmo for ya they love to make you grind the hell out of something to get anything.
