Vandal Hearts Flames of Judgment on Xbox Series X

In an interesting turn of events, when I fired up my Xbox Series X the other day Vandal Hearts: FoJ was listed as my last played game. I fired it up and it seems I now own it.

I checked my purchase history to make sure they didn't charge me for it and they did not.

I'm not sure if this was just me or if this was fixed system wide. You should check to see if it shows that you now own it.

Same issue with the same game and unfortunately received no help on here. Hoping that twitter support might be better.

Quite a few people seem to be having this problem. The same thing for instance is happening with Scramble and Time Pilot on my Xbox One. Both were bought very early in the 360's lifespan (Which was never a problem for previous rounds of backwards compatibility additions), yet my ownership isn't recognized outside of the Xbox 360 storefront.

Given that it's already been two weeks and what seems like an easy fix hasn't even been acknowledged by Microsoft employees at this forum (At least in the threads I've looked at with similar issues), I suspect we're just going to have to rebuy what we already own if we want to access it on newer Xbox hardware. I'm pleased our independent advisors though are trying to help with the issue at least, but I think it's clear at this point that the problem rests at Microsoft's end with the difficulties here, rather than being something solvable at the user's end.

Situation certainly detracts from the otherwise pleasant surprise of 75+ classics joining the BC list earlier this month, but hopefully it's a cheap game if my pessimism proves correct and you choose to double dip by buying it on the XB1/Series systems storefront.

I see. Honestly, I don't know if it's a bug in the Microsoft Store with these new games that entered the backward compatibility list or the problem would be with the way you bought the game, I don't know if there was any purchasing policy if you bought the game with this method of payment would only give you the right to install the content on Xbox 360.

But try cleaning your console's MAC and/or resetting it and see if it solves the problem.

Clean your console's MAC, restart when prompted, and try again.

To clean the MAC follow this path

Settings>general>network settings>advanced settings>alternative MAC address and click clear and restart the console when prompted.

Reset the console to factory defaults, you won't lose anything but you will need to log in with your account again. Email and password are required.

Follow this path and select reset keeping games and app.

In 5 to 10 minutes you will finish reconfiguring your console

To reset the console>

Settings> System> Console Info> Reset Console

***Do not reset your console without having your account email and password.***
