Valhalla save corruption issues. Xbox or Ubisoft?

It may be possible to recover your corrupted saved data for Assassin's Creed Valhalla on your Xbox One, but it will depend on the specific cause of the corruption and what resources are available to you. Here are a few steps you can try:

Check for an update to the game: Sometimes, a game update can fix issues with saved data. Check to see if there is an update available for Assassin's Creed Valhalla and install it if there is.

Restart your Xbox One: Restarting your console can often fix issues with saved data. To do this, go to the Home screen, then select the power icon in the upper right corner. Select Restart console and then select Yes to confirm.

I submitted a ticket to Ubisoft which I suggest everyone should do. The more people complain perhaps the more attention it will get. This is the response I received from ubisoft support.

"It seems that your save file has become corrupted. Unfortunately, there is no way to recover a damaged save file. You will have to either load a previous save or restart the game."

What a STUPID response! I don't think they even read the issue. It is not a corrupted save file when there is NO save file to be corrupted. I'm with you Malarkey, this game is great but right now I'm freaked out to play it again because I don't want my
save file to just keep vanashing.

I am having the same issue. And when the Ubisoft Connect app opens up, Valhalla doesn't show up under the available games, so idk if the issue is on their end or what the issue is but it'd be nice to get some resolution.

The problem is still here in 2015! I bought the Holiday bundle with AC BF and Unity. After losing my save twice to another profile on my System, I've completed research into this issue. The Developer UbiSoft is using the Cloud based save system, and whenever
their servers have a hiccup or go down, so do some game saves. I've heard the PC community has resolved the issue by way of copying the save somewhere safe, and the 360 isn't confined by the Cloud only game save, so they don't have this problem. This game
save wipe/ corruption is only on the Xbox One due to the UbiSoft servers. And from what I can tell, its been a problem for years without resolution.

I know I'm bumping an old topic here, but considering the circumstance, I figured mods could make an exception.

News is out now, Ubisoft has officially announced Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, and the full reveal is tomorrow 8am PT on YouTube. Looks like the rumor was right after all.
