V-bucks showing as redeemed but not showing up on fortnight

I understand you've redeemed your V-Bucks code and it’s showing as “redeemed” on both Microsoft and Epic’s side, but the V-Bucks haven’t appeared in your Fortnite account. Since your accounts are already linked and this isn’t your first time doing it, let’s go over a few quick checks that usually help sort this out.

Step 1: Confirm where the V-Bucks were applied

If you redeemed the code via the Microsoft Store or Xbox, those V-Bucks are tied to Xbox Fortnite only. They won’t appear right away if you're logging in on a different platform like PlayStation, Switch, or PC.

To verify:

Go to https://www.fortnite.com/vbuckscard

Sign in with your Epic account

Check the redemption history — it will show which platform the V-Bucks were sent to

Step 2: Check in-game on Xbox

If the V-Bucks were redeemed to Xbox, you must log into Fortnite on an Xbox console to see the balance update. They should be there after logging in — even just opening the game triggers the sync.

Step 3: Wait and sync (if just redeemed)

Sometimes it takes a little time for the V-Bucks to appear. You can also try:

Restarting Fortnite

Restarting your Xbox (if that’s where they were sent)

Logging in and out of the Epic account via https://epicgames.com/account

Step 4: If still not appearing after 24 hours

If the code is marked redeemed and the correct Epic account is linked, but nothing shows up even after logging in on the right platform, you’ll need to contact Epic Games support directly:

Select Purchasing > V-Bucks missing after redemption

They can trace the V-Bucks across your linked accounts and confirm where it went.

There was a service alert for purchases. I would suggest login in here https://account.microsoft.com and checking your purchase history to see if the transaction went through.

You could try removing your account on the console. Open guide go to settings tab, select settings>account>remove account (you will need to know your login details) then power cycle the console by pressing and holding the power button, till fully off (usually
about 10 seconds) wait for 60 seconds, power the console back on and add your account back.

Epic says i have to contact microsoft

If you have submitted a request with epic, they should get back to you in the next day or so. I know its frustrating but they should get back to you soon

I dont have an Xbox and i am contacting epic but they dont reactback yet

Are you playing on W10? Either way, as there were issues with purchasing on Xbox Live recently, this could likely be the cause of the problems and it may fix itself and appear in your account soon. If not, yes the best thing to do is wait for a response
from Epic or possibly try Microsoft Support.
