Uverse DVR (SD or HD) Freezes / Corrupts When Running Through Xbox One

STORY: As an Xbox One User and ATT Uverse user I should be able to connect my Uverse box into the Xbox One HDMI throughput, then into my Onkyo Surround Receiver that throughputs all signals via HDMI to my Samsung television and watch live television or recorded
television.

ISSUE: Any recordings made on my Uverse box, whether HD or SD, that are played back freeze up every ~10 seconds, skips some frames, plays for another 10 seconds and then freezes, and so on.

STEPS:

1. Blamed Uverse for a faulty DVR box that was corrupting recordings and had them come out and replace my Uverse receiver.

2. Recorded SD & HD tests using the existing uverse->xbox->receiver->tv setup on the new Uverse receiver and then played back with the same freezing / glitching. (

3. Ran a direct HDMI from the new Uverse box to the Television then recorded new SD & HD tests with no problems during playback.

CURRENT FIX:

I've gone back to my Xbox 360 setup having all devices Apple TV, Xbox One, and Uverse box routing through my Onkyo Receiver with the single HDMI out to the television. I can obviously no longer say "Xbox Watch TV" not power on all devices via Xbox One, but
that's ok because simply asking Xbox One to "Watch HGTV" would usually tune to BET. I get to use an extra remote here and there now, but I imagine this will get fixed in time.

NOTES:

I've seen other forum posts noting that the Surround Sound settings with the Xbox One could be a contributor, and other resolution settings in regards to video when dealing with SD channels. I do currently have the Surround Sound setting enabled on my Xbox
One and have not bothered changing to Stereo to test because I'd rather keep surround on and just use a couple extra remotes to change receiver input, etc. My wife hates saying "Xbox On" anyways because it never registers her voice so after I hear her yelling
at the Xbox "XBOX ON!" 5-6 times I'll usually come downstairs and just press the power button for her.

Uverse SD shows on DVR glitching

Using ATT Uverse, HDMI passthrough works fine....channel guide is set up perfectly, picture and sound quality are great. The only issue I've had so far is when using the DVR.

When I watch HD content through the DVR, it works great! Today we started trying to watch the "Doctor Who" episode that aired yesterday, but it records in SD (no HD BBC America in my area). When we try to watch it (or any SD saved content after thorough
testing), the DVR freezes and begins to respond slowly to commands, sometimes needing to be rebooted.

When we attach the cable box directly to the TV, the SD content plays perfectly with no issues, so it definitely has to do with being passed through the XBox One.

Is there a setting I'm missing that could be causing this glitch?

Uverse SD shows on DVR glitching

Also having similar issue. All SD channels (DVR or live) do the same for me. Using Motorola VIP1225 for ATT Uverse. I want to keep the TV pass through and continue to use the xbox but if I am unable to use SD channels this is worthless to me. Not all channels
have HD channels yet. May be some day.
