Utilizing Discord for chat and console to play

While I currently do use Discord over XBL Party Chat, it does hinder a few of my friends that don't have a pc close to them or able to use their phone for Discord. If they did bring Discord to both Xbox and PS4 via app, you'd be able to play cross play games
with chat easier.

The first link is the one that I followed but after reading the second link there it says I need a wireless headset? I just spent $400 on the ASTRO A40tr with the mixamp pro like last year cause I was getting far too much sound lag with the turtle beach stealth700. But regardless all of that I've done everything in that guide & followed all of the steps. My Xbox says I'm connected, the Xbox app says I'm connected & discord shows that I'm connected to Xbox cause under connections it shows my gamer tag.. but it's still won't let me transfer voice audio to my Xbox. I've even gone as far is disconnecting everything & going through the whole set up process again, I don't know what I'm doing wrong.
