    I used a paid service to convert a printed book to audio files. The 500 page book resulted in 120 mp3 files

    I copied the files to an SD card on my Windows phone & played the audio files using Xbox.

    I used Xbox only because I use it to play music.

    I eventually noticed that the audio files play in random order.

    I would like to see if I can fix that.

    When I configure Xbox on my phone to show me a list of the files in the folder, it shows the 1st few words of the first spoken sentence of the file.

    There is no filename showing on screen in Xbox, only the 1st few words of a sentence. I believe the files are arranged in alphabetic order by the first word of the first sentence of the file.

    When I use Windows File Explorer on my computer to look at the files on the SD card, they appear in file number order, as I would expect, since the service used sequential numbers as part of the filenames.

    Is there way to fix this?

    ...a different way to copy mp3 files from my computer to my SD card;

    ...a way to change the setting for Xbox on my phone;

    ...a way to pre-configure the files before copying them to my phone;

    ...a different player on the phone.

    Can either of the XBOXes utilize locally stored MP3/4 with the XBOX Music service?

    No, currently the Xbox Music app on the console is only for streaming music from the Xbox Music catalog using a Xbox Music Pass. In order to play your local/NAS files you'll have to use the built-in music player.

    I would suggest that you if you believe a player has violated the Xbox live code of conduct, you should file a complaint.
