    What can I do to use my German xbox one in China? Do I have to change some network settings? Until now I cannot play with my friends. I hope you you guys have some experience...

    Xbox MTU error nothing will fix it!

    Have you heard of the great wall of china?

    Theres a virtual verion of it. The great firewall of china. MTU errors are often caused by Firewalls. not to mention you are in china... are you using a chinese xbox/live account?

    Live has been diaconnected for 2 days in china.All of chinese !!!

    What do you expect! This is China!!! Some government official probably lost on a game of Fifa and decided right, no more xbox live in China. Everyone can suffer!! Simple as that. I have tried using a laptop to xbox using a vpn (No use) so don't try that,
    mega slow.

    Again, TIC ( This is China) It will either come back on or it won't. I'm giving it another week, no joy ill be exchanging my xbox for a PS3 as it's more welcomed in China.

    Ok. But if I would change I can only choose Germany Austria and Switzerland. But no China. What can I do next? Please help colleagues.

    Hi La Rock 1979,

    So due to governmental reasons the only Xbox One's that work in china are the ones sold there and developed for that market. The consoles sold in China have different settings than most other markets in the world so in china your console must be purchased
    in China to connect to Xbox live.

    In China there are some very unique rules in regards Internet and purchases, so your Xbox One from Germany will not connect to Xbox live over there.

    I've lived in China and I loved the place but when it comes to the internet and Xbox live I too struggled and I also tried to get my company's IT department to try and help out but they could not.

    Hi there. I can connect to xbox live but the multi-player function does not work. Maybe I have to put a special ip or DNS here in China to use it. I am sure there must be somebody out there who has solved this problem. The last option is to buy a Chinese
    xbox one...

    Please fellows give feedback

    I've had a good look around and it appears your only option will be to buy an Xbox One from China if you want fully utilise all the online features, I don't even think a DNS would help as superhugmonkey pointed out, China have very different rules surrounding
    their internet.

    I would say that it's highly unlikely you'll find either a Chinese user or someone in the same situation as you on this site (I've checked for similar threads), have you made a post at say reddit in the xbox support section? Much larger user base there,
    you may find a similar situation or someone who fully knows your options.

    Using xbox one in China

    I am using a China Xbox One Day One Edition. I could connect to Xbox Live but I could not download any DLC for games not released in China nor change the menu language to English.

    Don't bother getting an Xbox One in China - you need to understand Simplified chinese and there is only a handful of apps available (No Twitch)
