Using Xbox one for first time

Hey guys,

I see the green xbox logo blinking for couple of secs and my later it goes blank, the hdmi cable is perfectly connected, and so are the cables.. Please advise how to proceed.

This thread is almost a year old. In the future please try creating a new thread for assistance with your issues.

It can take a while to get the download when you first start your console because it has a years worth of updates to catch up on. However, if the console has been hanging on the green screen for quite a while you can try holding the power button on the
console for 10 seconds until it shuts down.

Also ensure that you are connected via ethernet for the duration of the download as that will provide a better, more stable connection.

Whoops, let's get this sorted for you - I know it's difficult waiting to get in for the first time.

Please hold your finger over the power button for 15 seconds whilst the console is turned on - it will turn off during this process, keep your finger on. After 15 seconds, let go, unplug all cables, plug them back in, switch the console on.

Let me know if that doesn't resolve the issue and we'll take some further steps for you.

Tried the above, also got a new hdmi cable to check if there is something wrong with the provided cable but the same issue persists....

 

By any chance did you update your console with the April update?

 

nope, i did nothing except for starting the console.....

 

Finally i was able to get in !!!, came to know that pressing the power and eject button simultaneously will let the xbox start in lowest resolution and it worked, Let the games begin!!
