Using Xbox Live Gold on Different Consoles

Hi,

I have an Xbox Live account that I purchased for my children to use under our family account. I don't even play, but they are too young for their own accounts.

With a single xbox one console it worked fine, but now they each have their own, an xbox one and an xbox one s. I figured out how to designate one as my home console and sign into the other so the Xbox Live can be used by 2 people on both consoles, but one
of those people is me, the account owner who doesn't play.

Does anyone have a solution as to how I can get the kids access to Xbox Live on their own separate consoles? I don't mind being cut out of the equation. Even if there is no adequate solution and I have to purchase another Live subscription, I wouldn't even
know how to do it. Would I just open a different account with new email, user name, etc.?

Thanks for the help, that makes sense. However, when I signed in to my son's account and tried to purchase Xbox LIVE, it says this is a purchase that cannot be requested online and that they have to ask the parent to buy it for them. That's all fine, but
where can I buy it for them in my own account?

Add Gold to one of their accounts. Then they don't need yours and you don't need a subscription on your account. The one with Gold would set the other's console as their Home in order to share Gold, then sign into their own console.

For the 360, each account would have to have it's own gold subscription, but they did change it so that gold can be shared across the console.

Same with the games. Say you use the code for the game on your account. As long as you have the console set as your Home console, your brother can access the game. If he were to play on a different console he would not have the game though.

I was just thinking......with the TWO xbox live gold accounts we have.....can i sign in with my SON's account on my DAUGHTER's Xone.....and set that as HOME for HIS account and share gold? Then would all 3 of us be able to play on 3 different consoles (using
2 xbox live gold accounts)

Thank you for posting on the Xbox forums. We understand that you are interested in knowing if you can

share Xbox Live Gold between two consoles. It is possible to share the subscription between two different consoles. You must use the home console feature on the desired Xbox One. This will allow an account to share it's Xbox subscriptions and content to
all other accounts on the console. You can set up the home console profile on your daughter's console, and she will be able to use Xbox Live Gold. We hope this helps!
