    Using windows controllers to control Xbox one


    Hi

    Trying to work out how I used a windows connected contoller to control my Xbox, or even if this is at all possible?

    I have a fanatec wheel and an Xbox 360 wireless controller set up in windows to use on my pc.

    However when I stream my Xbox through the companion app they are not active and I can’t use them to control my Xbox.

    My gut feeling is that because the streaming service is using windows as a dumb terminal you can’t use these devices on your Xbox games without plugging them into my Xbox.

    However I’ve seen videos on YouTube or people using 360 controllers to control their Xbox one through windows but I can’t find any way to set this up as mine just don’t work?

    Anyone got any advice?

    If you've been unable to update the controller using the Xbox Accessories app, then you may need to attempt to update it using a console (if possible). If the controller will not update, then it may need to

    request an Xbox controller replacement    .
