Using US Xbox One in Germany

Hello,

I have some questions. Im from germany but right now i live in america. I want to buy a xbox one and take it back to germany. my questions are:

1) When I buy the xbox one here in US, will it work in germany?

2) when I take it back to germany can i watch german Blu-rays and german games on the american xbox one?

3) how does it work with the Charger and plugin stuff for the xbox? do i have to get different chargers?

4) Is my xbox then only in english or could i switch the system language?

5) Could i make a german xbox account? woud it work on the american xbox?

US Xbox 360 Slim in Germany

Hi TerraRose, it's going to be very difficult to find official power bricks separate from consoles So I'm going to give you the Customer Service number for Germany for when you get there. Hopefully you can find someone that speaks English unless you know
German.

You could also contact the US Customer Support explain to them the situation of you being a military family. I do not know but perhaps they could figure out a way to get you EU power bricks before hand. If all else fails unfortunately you may have to buy
a PAL (EU) console.

Also some slight fair warning, If you do happen to get your hands on the EU versions of the power bricks for your consoles You'll have to buy them and I do believe they will be without Warranty. I also suspect that if your US consoles were to need service
it may be very difficult and expensive to have them serviced internationally...but Xbox might have special circumstance for active duty military overseas for repair and service.

US Xbox 360 Slim in Germany

You can buy a new power brick to use which was made for Xbox 360's in Germany.

By an adapter do you mean a non-Xbox 360 power brick, if so it is not recommended to do so as you can damage your console by using un-official equipment, especially when powering it up.

As for where to buy one I cannot help you there unfortunately.

One and two yes. As for one. As long as LIVE is XBOX ONE ready in that country. As two gose. Only the games will work. Movies in the other hand is a big flat no. As for there There a charger and play for the one. As for four. It gose by your XBOX LIVE region

Hello SebastianJones, the HDMI is standart all over the world and there should be no problem connecting your Xbox to a TV in Europe.

Make sure the HDMI cable is connected to your Xbox One output, and when connecting to the TV's HDMI in, make sure it's enabled and set up on the TV.

The only thing I can imagine is that your equipment is not automatic bivolt.

In Germany the voltage is 230v, so all equipment has to be 110/230v automatic or only 230v, if it is 110v will not work.

I found the problem. I did not realize I had the HDMI cable plugged into Input on both devices. So stupid. Anyways thank you!!

Yes,your games should work if they are digital copies,they will work fine if they are physical copies.

Thank you so very much for your help. I was actually thinking of buying/finding the power brick so we didn't have to buy an adapter/converter. I was just hoping the brick would be enough to work with the xbox units so we could go about finding one there.
