Using UK Xbox 360 profile in Australia

So, I'm wondering if someone can help.

I used to live in the UK and have my profile from when I lived there.

It works fine now I live in aus, but I'm thinking of signing back up for a gold subscription.

some questions:

1) if I start playing a game online with others, will it connect to UK servers with a huge lag? Or will it connect to aus servers as I want to do.

2) if I transfer / migrate my account to aus, will I lose all the paid games I've purchased in UK?

3) i suppose I could have two profiles right? my old uk one for playing any old games

i downloaded and then an aus one for playing online. Is this needed? Is there another way? Am I missing something here?

Any light anyone could shed on my awkward situation would be appreciated.

Xbox 360 regions - UK and Australia compatible?

Hi,

My hubby bought an Xbox 360 about five years ago when he was living in the UK. We now live in Australia and I'm wanting to buy my hubby an Xbox 360 game for his birthday (in Australia) however would this work as the console was purchased in the UK? Does
he have to change regions on it? or should they be able to play games from different countries as long as the PAL encoding system applies? (I understand both the UK and Australia use PAL).

Do UK Xbox 360 games work on an Australian console?

Hi i've recently bought an Xbox 360 in Australia and just wondering if UK games will work on it? Australia is PAL same as UK but I think the box says Region 4 and not region 2 like UK so wondering if they are compatible. Seems to be some mixed information
on the internet.

Ok, if you decide to leave your account as a UK one and want to get a Gold membership then you'll need to purchase your memberships from the UK and not Australia. Gold memberships are region locked and cannot be used for a gamertag that is for a different
region.

A UK will favor match ups with other UK accounts. Although I can say anything about whether or not you'll get a lot of lag I can say that I live in Canada and frequently play with a friend in the UK with little to no lag at all.

If you transfer your gamertag to Australia you will not lose your previously purchased content. However, if you need to delete then redownload something you may encounter issues as some content is region locked and cannot be downloaded to a region other
than it was intended.

You can create a new account for Australia if you like. Any content that is currently on the console (owned by the UK account) will still be accessible by the Australian account although it cannot be transferred from one account to another.
